Textile artist Heather Curtis is happy when challenged to make a bag out of any clothing item, but her featured design for 2009 is the ReallyReally Untied bag (repurposing the corporate noose). Great for cell phones, blackberries, i-pods, keys, etc. Kids love them, too. Snap closure, secret stash pocket for money & cards. Can be worn over arm, looped around handle of a larger bag, or around the neck for hands free travel!
Heather also creates pieces from clothing provided by the customer. Her first commissioned piece was for a 70th birthday gift – the bag incorporated a sweater, skirt, & scarf from the giftee, as well as 3 hats made the woman had made for her grandchildren, and another grandchild’s soccer jersey! Gift certificates available for baby showers, parent-of-the-graduate gift, birthdays, etc.
